The HSV Owners Club of Victoria (Incorporating HDT) participates in many car shows throughout Victoria each year.  Our club has been attending these shows and displays since its inception in 1986. On average, as a club, we formally participate in 8 – 10 car shows a year, but we encourage members to attend other events at their leisure.

Some members choose to spend countless hours cleaning, polishing and waxing their vehicles in preparation for shows.   Others like to give their pride and joy a quick wash and just display their vehicles on the day. Either way, everyone is able to enjoy the company of fellow enthusiasts, and take in the sights of the many glorious motor vehicles this country has to offer.
Those who have gone “all out” certainly have shared in an array of prizes and awards over the years, and our club has been quite successful in winning best club display awards.

So what do you have to do to attend an event with our club?
Firstly, and obviously, you must be a member.  This is simply a matter of contacting our Membership Co-ordinator, Simone Green (Ph/Fax (03) 9580 6612, email membership@hsvownersclub.com.au) or by downloading the form from this website and filling it out. Membership of the club is open to owners of build plated HDT or HSV vehicles.  

Once a member you will receive club magazines that will provide you the necessary information on upcoming events.  Also, you can view this website to stay in touch.  If you’d like to participate in an event, all you need to do is email, phone or register your interest at a club meeting where you can obtain specific information, like meeting points and rendezvous times, for that event.  Please note that it’s important to register your interest as early as possible.  Our events are usually very well attended and if you leave it to the last minute you may miss out, resulting in you having to display elsewhere.

Most of the events in which we participate as a club are run by external car clubs and promoters and, for these, you may be required to submit an entry form.  We will usually be able to provide them for you in the magazine or on our website. It is your responsibility to get your entries and payments in on time.  The HSVOC will provide advice and assistance, but cannot accept liability for your entries and encourages you to enter and pay for these events yourself as early as possible.

Once at an event your car must be clean, as you now represent our club.  This does not mean you must spend those countless hours detailing your vehicle, but a simple wash and chamois will be fine.
Where possible the club trailer will be in attendance at events and your car will be roped off.  If we are unable to provide these facilities and you wish to rope off your vehicle, you will need to make your own arrangements.
FOR SALE signs are not permitted on display cars.  After all, this is a car show and not a used car lot. We would appreciate you respecting this requirement, as it makes for a much better display.
